Sant Garib Das Ji and the Divine Treasure of Amar Granth Sahib

Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj was a spiritually enlightened saint born in 1717 CE in the village of Chhudani, district Jhajjar, Haryana, India. Though raised in a well-to-do and devout family, his transformation occurred after a divine encounter with Supreme God Kabir Sahib, who appeared before him in human form in 1727 CE and granted him divine knowledge (Tatvagyan). At the time, Garib Das Ji was only a cowherd, but after this experience, he began speaking profound spiritual truths far beyond the reach of ordinary scholarship. He became one of the most prominent saints to propagate the knowledge and supremacy of God Kabir as the Creator and Liberator of all souls.

Inspired directly by God Kabir, Sant Garib Das Ji composed the Amar Granth Sahib, a collection of over 7,000 spiritual verses (banis). This sacred scripture is rich in divine wisdom, conveying the eternal truth about creation, salvation, and the path to reach Satlok (the eternal abode). Amar Granth Sahib boldly rejects ritualism, idol worship, and blind faith, instead calling for true devotion, humility, and satsang under the guidance of a Tatvadarshi Saint, as mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita 4:34. His compositions use simple, rustic language, yet contain deep philosophical insights, revealing the falsehood of Kaal’s trap and the hidden path of salvation shown by God Kabir.

It also contains knowledge from the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, and other scriptures, proving that the Supreme God is Kavir Dev, who Himself comes to Earth to rescue His souls. Sant Garib Das Ji’s teachings continue to resonate powerfully even today, especially as explained and revived in the present era by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, who is actively disseminating the same eternal knowledge to the world.

Profound Wisdom of Amar Granth Sahib

The Amar Granth Sahib, authored by Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj, is a treasure trove of divine wisdom that unveils the deepest mysteries of creation, the soul's journey, and the only true path to salvation leading to Satlok, the eternal abode of the Supreme God, Kabir Sahib. It contains bold revelations about the bondage of Kaal (the impure ruler of this realm), the deception within the cycle of birth and death, and the precise spiritual method to break free from it. Recitation of Amar Granth Sahib (Path) and Its Spiritual Significance

The Amar Granth Sahib is so vast and profound that its full recitation, known as 'Path', takes approximately 48 hours of continuous reading. This uninterrupted recitation concludes on the third day, forming a major spiritual event at Satlok Ashrams across India and Nepal. These 3-day Paths are conducted during spiritually significant occasions such as the Bodh Divas (Enlightenment Day) of Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the Appearance Day of Supreme God Kabir Sahib, Satlok departure day of God Kabir, Divine Meritorious Meal Days  and other divine events that take place 5–6 times a year. Devotees gather in large numbers to witness this divine recitation, listen to discourses of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj which serves as a means of connecting with God and absorbing the powerful spiritual truths embedded in the succinct couplets and speeches of the Granth.
